Lima beans (or butter beans), originated in Peru and have been grown there since 6000 B.C. They are a large disk shaped bean are super hearty and have a deliciously earthy, buttery flavour. Lima beans are high in fibre and trace minerals. They are one of the most nutritious foods in the world and are a very good source of cholesterol-lowering fibre. Produced in the USA using beans grown in California and Texas.
